The PDCR Method: Learn Soft Skills by Doing
PDCR is Funstorming's learning method. You pick a quest (Play), run it in a real work situation in about 20 minutes (Do), review what happened with a short checklist or a coach (Check), and repeat it until it becomes a habit (Repeat). Use it alone, in group coaching, or 1:1 with a coach.
What is PDCR?
PDCR (Play. Do. Check. Repeat.) is a learning loop inspired by the Plan-Do-Check-Act improvement cycle, adapted for skills: the plan is replaced by play. Each loop takes about 20 minutes and fits into a normal work week, so learning happens on real work instead of in a classroom.
Play
Play: pick one quest card from the 100-Quest Agile Playbook. Each card gives you the why, the how in 4 steps, the roles and the time needed.
Do
Do: run the quest at work in about 20 minutes, on a real task, meeting or decision. No theory first, no long course: you learn while the work gets done.
Check
Check: review what changed with a few quick questions, alone, with your team or with a coach. What worked, what didn't, what will you adjust next time?
Repeat
Repeat: run the same quest again in a new situation until it becomes a habit, then move on to the next one. Small loops, repeated every week, are what make skills stick.
Designed for rapid execution without disrupting work schedules.
✅ Every quest is built around a micro-sprint architecture.
✅ Standardized for local, online and physical environments.
✅ Updated every two years to match actual job market needs.
